This painting was inspired by the Mao Zedong quote, "Women hold up half the sky," and the book "Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science - And The World." It is a tribute to all of the women scientists who studied the incredible beauty and complexity of our universe, and used what they learned to make the world a better place.
